Hopper is part of Nagar district of Gilgit – Baltistan & it is located at a distance of about 10km from Nagar Khas. Nagar Valley is situated at an altitude of about 8,000 feet (2,438m) and is one of the most beautiful and scenic valleys of this region.
Via Air
Gilgit, the capital of Gilgit – Baltistan region is also connected by air with Islamabad. PIA operates two daily flights from Islamabad, subject to weather conditions.
If you are coming from Gilgit & Hunza, take a right turn on the partially metaled road just after crossing the bridge as Karakoram Highway KKH after the village of Ganesh. From this point, Hopper is about 17km away.
Via Road
One can also reach Gilgit by road via KKH & Babusar Pass from the Kaghan Valley Side. It takes around 15 to 16 hours to reach Gilgit by road. From Gilgit to Hopper, it takes about two & a half hours to cover the distance of about 120km. Travel by car, jeep and van is possible. However, the last portion (17km) of the road is partially metaled.
